Computer games as object of anthropological research: gender specifics

The article is devoted to a problem of application of anthropological approach to studying of computer games. The history of computer games in the world and Russia is analyzed. Authors presented classification of computer games, the border between «action games» and «control games» a side of «ordinary» is investigated. Distinction between computer games and video games, role-playing games and computer role-playing games is carried out, and also terminology of computer games is presented. The attention to gender features playing computer games is paid. The program of anthropological research is given.
