This article is devoted to the problems of museum exposition and deals with various installations of Romanesque monuments, presented in Europe and the USA. The author compares three different museum expositions of Romanesque monumental art in aim to show that the form of representation of different pieces of painting and sculpture are quite identical in Musèe des Augustins de Toulouse, «The Cloisters» of Metropolitan Museum of Art in New-York and Museu Nacional d Art de Catalunya in Barcelona. All this exhibitions are based on the principle of visual imitation of «the real» environment of pieces of Romanesque monumental art - churches or cloisters.
