Research activity as the most important component of the personality culture and the conditions for its professional and creative self-realization are formed in the educational space of the university. An empirical study shows that the level of involvement of young students in research work is gradually decreasing. One of the reasons for this indicator is associated with a decrease in interest in traditional forms of research. Innovative forms of socio-cultural activity, which are integrative in nature and contain elements of scientif c research activity, among which one can distinguish a scientif c stand-up, have great and unrealized potential in stimulating its development. Consideration of the scientif c stand-up as an attractive form of attracting students to research activities allows us to go beyond the traditionally established framework for studying this phenomenon and expand the boundaries of applicability of social and cultural activities
