The exhibition projects of the Museum «Russia in the Great War» 2014–2018

The consecration of the events of the World War I, due to historical and ideological circumstances, for many decades did not f nd a place in the exhibition and exhibition space of domestic museums. The 100 years anniversary of the outbreak of the World War I was the impetus for changing the current situation and f lling the cultural-historical «lacuna» formed in Russia. On August 4, 2014, a new museum «Russia in the Great War» was opened in the City of Pushkin in the Martial Chamber. The article provides an overview of the exhibition projects implemented by the team of the «young» museum during the jubilee years in 2014–2018, based both on the display of items from their own collections that were not included in the main exhibition, and on the presentation of private collections. The relevance of the subject matter of the exhibitions is shown, a description of the activities of the museum is given.
