Публичные библиотеки зарубежных стран: уроки пандемии

Рассматривается деятельность публичных библиотек зарубежных стран в условиях пандемии КОВИД-19. Определены основные направления деятельности публичных библиотек. Особое внимание уделено управлению персоналом, технической оснащенности библиотек, комплектованию фондов документами на традиционных носителях и электронными ресурсами, наиболее распространенным формам и методам обслуживания населения, организации взаимодействия с национальными, академическими, специальными библиотеками и издательскими домами. Пандемия способствовала переосмыслению роли информационно-коммуникационных технологий в деятельности публичных библиотек. Цифровое неравенство рассматривается в качестве основного барьера, препятствующего внедрению инновационных подходов в процессы обслуживания населения. КОВИД-19, оказавший влияние на все направления работы публичных библиотек, поставивший вопрос о необходимости совершенствования профессиональных компетентностей персонала. Подчеркивается необходимость разработки проблем кризисного менеджмента для публичных библиотек в условиях цифровых трансформаций.
