The study of biography is a branch of the historical knowledge explores the basic models, concepts, structure of the biography, the reliability of the facts, the ratio of documentary sources and artistic imagination. In modern science it has been widely used inclusion in the context of the history of the personal biography as a special method of measurement of socio-cultural processes. The portrait gallery of the outstanding figures of culture is part of the historical cultural studies and allows for a more comprehensive picture of the role of personality in the development of the creative potential of culture.
