«Protective belt» of culture and strategy of attitude to childhood

The problem of the article is determined by the transformations of childhood culture against the background of qualitative changes in the modern socio-cultural reality in Russia. The general characteristic of childhood culture as a component of culturogenesis is given. The basic forms of the relation to childhood, characteristic for different stages of history are considered. The essence of the «infantophilia», «infanticide» and «infantophobia» is revealed. The issue of the influence of mass media on the culture of childhood, as well as on modern strategies of attitude to it is touched upon. Some mental structures of childhood culture are analyzed, including the phenomenon of «children’s law». The problem of lack of control in the culture of childhood within the «open society» is indicated. The question is raised about the formation of a «protective belt» in relation to the culture of childhood, in need of compulsory care by the state, «ecology», censorship and protection.
