Tradition of alive theater at the creative method by Lev Dodin

A question of a conservation of prinsiples of Russian traditional theater and traditional theatre school is one of the most sharp and the most significant question of the modern scenic methodology. The main moment of the methodology of realistic theatre art, beginning from Stanislavsky s times, always was the problem of real, alive stream of scenic process. The most successive and interesting variant of settling this problem today is the creative method by Lev Dodin. The totality of wayes and means, forming this method, is examined at this article. On the whole, Dodin s methodological discoveryes are consonant with Stanislavsky s discoveryes, but at the same time this discoveryes train the Stanislavsky s methode to another, quite new level of development. The article is based on the notes of L. Dodin s rehearsals, which the author was attending, begining from 1997, regularly being at the rehearsals in the Maly Dramatic Theater - The Theater of Europe.
