European musical theater in the 20-30’s years of the 20
century is characterized by a strong and distinct influences from jazz, manifested in the modal and rhythmic music of the tissue in the orchestration, plot and characters plastics. A striking example of essays connecting features of traditional European ballet and overseas jazz ballet creativity is the French group «Six». Analysis of one of the repertory ballets created by the representative of the French «Six» Poulenc and the subject of this article.
