Music and musicality in G. Klimt’s painting

The problem of the interaction of music and painting is analysed basing on the study of «Beethoven frieze», landscapes and interpretations of female images in the works of Gustav Klimt and composers of the turn of XIX-XX centuries, interpretation of the idea of a comprehensive «works of Art», which was the basis of the aesthetic searches in the field of «Jugendstil» is also studied. The leader of the «secession» the Austrian artist G. Klimt has devoted a number of his works musical theme. In an attempt to combine monumental and narrative easel paintings and landscapes of the artist with the music of Claude Debussy. Stylistic, aesthetic and conceptual unity of approaches in painting and music of this period is proved, analyzed for theme, plot, composition, rhythmic and coloristic roll-call of works by visual and auditory arts.
