To teach or to be thought?! Motivation of the unsupervised work of the students of library and information departments of the universities of culture

The work shows the main conditions influencing the effectiveness of the unsupervised work of the students: they are special rooms for unsupervised work; adequate registration of the time spent by the teachers for the organization of the unsupervised work; complexity of the methodical elaboration of the tasks and their control; importance of regular professional development; irregular students work during the academic year. Four directions of organization of the unsupervised work of the students are shown and illustrated by the work of the library and information department: they are research work of the students; project work at the libraries; professionally-oriented creating events.
