Models of social and cultural systems in the theoretical and practical cultural studies

The article is devoted to the problems of mathematical tool’s applications for research social and cultural systems. It provides an overview and a brief analysis of the social and cultural systems’ mathematical models, that are used - explaining the mechanisms of cultural processes actions and for studying tendencies of their development. It is briefly considered the application of mathematical models, that are used the cultural factors of social environment, for solving practical tasks. The article also deals with the mathematical methods that are used to study the efficiency of culture and individual cultural institutions.
