Dickens’s philosophical mythologism on the example of the novel «Great Expectations»

In this article the author attempts to analyse Ch. Dickens’s novel «Great Expectations» from the point of view of its philosophical mythologism and examines in particular the use in the novel of such categories as «water» and «fire» and their philosophical interpretation. This article is a part of a big study of Dickens’s work and it partly continues themes touched in the articles published in «The bulletin of the Saint Petersburg state university of culture and arts» (2013. № 4 ; 2014. № 4).
