Tunes on Mongolian longitudinal flute: features of repertoire

Tsuur is one of the archaic instruments, based on the reception of onomatopoeia. After gathering all the information about the repertoire tsuurch identified in recent decades by various collectors, managed to compile a catalog of tunes on tsuur. It includes about 53 titles taken into account the information from the existing publications and the expeditions of the author in 2012-2014. Melodies associated with their common thematic content are grouped. It is based on the selected object of imitation: 1) tunes depicting the world of animals; 2) tunes depicting the natural world; 3) tunes depicting people. During the study identifies features of individual tsuurch repertoire. The most complete musical tradition is represented in the works of P. Narantsogt, an outstanding artist-tsuurch.
