Problems of artistic representation: French novel of 20 century

Culture and literature of 20 century were focused on rethinking many artistic categories and principles of classical art. The article is devoted to the problems of the relationship between the concepts of text and of reality in literature, relative to the preceding cultural traditions. This problem explores the material works of two major French writers 20 century (Alain Robbe-Grillet, founder of the school of the «new novel», and Michel Tournier, a representative of the postmodern prose), literature searches which are characterized by for the development of Western prose.
