Features of the Kuzbass museum network in pandemic conditions

The Kuzbass Museum Network is an accessible and dynamically developing public institution that plays an important role as a resource for the preservation and development of the national culture of Siberian peoples and is also an instrument of the unity of Russian society. The article attempted to analyze and evaluate the activities of museums in the Kemerovo region during the period of restrictions associated with coronavirus infection (COVID- 19), in terms of the practice of implementing the activities of museum institutions in other constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The main method of research is the analysis of socio economic and cultural discourse and regulatory legal acts in the field of culture during the period of self-isolation. The author considers the problems faced by museums of the Kemerovo region, characterizing and determining the distinctive features of the functioning of the museum network of the region during this period. As a result of the study, proposals are formulated to increase the level of efficiency of state and municipal museums of the Kemerovo region (Kuzbass) in the potential space for introducing repeated restrictions.
