Traditions of music education in Syria: reflected in scientific literature

The article analyses research and work on the study of the musical heritage, education and culture in Syria. Dissertation studies are under consideration, as are printed publications that have been created in the last 50-60 years. The experiences of neighboring Arab countries, such as Jordan, and the advanced music education programs used in the Russian Federation and other European countries were analyzed. After summarizing the material, the author draws conclusions and offers his recommendations for improving musical education in Syria.
