The paradise of contemporary culture in the «Feast of Trimalchio» by art group AES+F

This article examines the video installation of a modern art group «AES+F» from the perspective of the image of paradise – one of the most essential concepts in the history of culture, which can characterize it effectively to a great extent. The author gives some traditional representations of paradise that existed in archaic cultures and analyses the key points of its modern interpretation offered by the artists in the beginning of the XXIs century and reflecting their view on the fate of the modern society. The Research is based on the ideas about contemporary culture expressed by M. Epstein and G. Debord are touched.
