The history of the development of folk singing schools dates to the second half of the XX century and is associated with the creation of a system for training leaders of folk singing groups in educational institutions of Russia. The folk singing schools created by the teachers of the «first generation» remain basic even today and their development follows the path of a more in-depth study of local singing traditions, which determines their scientific validity and unique artistic identity. The folk singing educational space continues to be saturated with graduates of universities and colleges, despite the existence of various schools of folk singing, who have received professional training at the level of modern security. Today, folk song performance and pedagogy are acceptable as a field of culture, a characteristic feature of which is the combination of scientific, educational and artistic and creative technologies.
