The article analyzes the phenomenon of the demand for educational programs in the field of art education, culture and art. In the article, on the example of the analysis of school educational programs, the relevance and multitasking of art education is considered. Based on the results of the study, the article concludes that in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, the main goal of art education is to recognize the importance of the discipline and increase its share in the curriculum of school educational programs. It is noted that the national education authorities unanimously recognize the role of art in the development of the individual, while the discipline is still considered secondary, inferior to the main subjects, which is confirmed by studies of assessing the international competence of students.
