What does poetry understand? Experience poetry in creation of worlds

The relationship of poetry to the process of cognition is revealed. Poetry is treated as a kind of way of understanding the world that differs fundamentally from scientific knowledge. This is the peculiar status of poetry, which can be defined not only as informative, but also demiurgic. Poetry is considered from the perspective of its «shelf life», allowing defined a special place for poetry, addressed to eternity, and for the current political poetry. The work is based on the poetry and prose of the Silver Age, includes examples of modern poetic texts. The role and importance of poetry in modern Russian culture are revealed.
