Concert-lecture as an educational project

The music education as a tradition of culture of Russia is discussed. The tradition of music education found its development during the Soviet era, and the concert-lecture has become an important part of the educational process for a wider audience of listeners. Despite the fact that it is considered the language of music is clear without words, but all its fullness as the language of arts must be taught to understand, that solves this problem with the concert-lecture. The reasons for the decline of audience interest to such concert in the Soviet era are identified, and solutions to the musical-artistic content and forms of modern concerts and lectures as an educational project in a cultural situation at the beginning of the 21st century and the need to increase the number of educated listeners are proposed. The article concluded that the consistency and planning in the field of music education, lost in the «age of perestroika» is an important part of the conservation and enhancement of educational traditions, and extremely relevant now.
