Traditional Russian Dance in the studies of the XIXth – XXIth centuries

Russian traditional dance has been historically transformed, the relevance of the problem of its study has been analyzed, and the main studies in which Russian traditional dance has been recorded over the past two centuries have been analyzed. Russian dance presents the results of the analysis of methodological and teaching aids, identifies the differences between Russian stage and Russian traditional dance, defines its main types, and considers in more detail the group dance «Six». The author identifies the high importance of studying the types of Russian traditional dance in modern education and defines the most important task of modern researchers in their study.
