Modern Ukrainian culture development trends

The article analyzes contemporary realities in the cultural space of Ukraine, taking into account the current cultural policy, axiological priorities and attempts to distort the cultural code due to Ukrainization, attempts to revise history, to change many ideals, values, images and meanings, priorities, imposing unusual assessments of the past (events, heroes and etc.) and models for the future. These issues became relevant in connection with the change in the mental paradigm, accompanied by social transformations and socio-cultural changes in the conditions of the post-Soviet Ukraine. The work raises ethical positions, objectivity, morality and honesty in the context of the exposition of history and cultural studies. The current culturological reflections in the cultural and historical discourse of Ukraine, the problems of Ukrainian culture of the second half of the second decade of the 21st century are considered against the background of the tense situation in the country (economy, demography, etc.). Also, excursions to the past are made, tendencies are noted and the future is predicted.
