Social activity of volunteers at University

The possibilities of the volunteering movement’s in cultural-educational space of a higher education institution are considered; the interaction in the sphere of volunteering between government entities and Saint Petersburg state institute of culture is described; practical activity of the higher education institution’s volunteering movement is exemplified by the participation of its students in the events from 2013 to 2017; the directions of volunteering movement’s activity in a higher education institution are characterized and its significance for fostering the social activity of the student youth is revealed. The main components for self-realization of the student’s personality in higher education are revealed. Currently, the higher education system pays considerable attention to the formation of student groups, through the inclusion of which students are immersed in the practical activities of the University, which has a socio-value orientation, which develops social activity. One of the priority activities of student groups are volunteer associations, which are presented to us as one of the most progressive forms of social activity. Participation in the volunteer movement of the university not only develops the social activity of students, but also forms a participatory attitude to solving the most important social problems, allows you to take the initiative and creativity in socially significant activities
