A series of papers is devoted to the current state of aff airs and prospects for the development of textbooks on book science. The key foreign textbooks that have been released in the second half of the XX - early XXI centuries are explored in the third article. Authors’ textbooks of S. Dahl, F. Funke, D. Finkelstein and A. McCleery, M. Levy and T. Mole are analyzed in detail. Special attention is paid to textbooks prepared as a part of international research and pedagogical projects under the umbrella of Cambridge and Oxford universities, as well as latest works of Wiley-Blackwell publishing house. It is concluded that the existing foreign educational literature on the history of the book is developing in the frame of interdisciplinary approach and in constant interaction with medialogy, communication science and digital humanities, and it diff ers from local publications in that.
