Arts education and art teaching in the Republic of Lithuania: goals, objectives and priority selection

The article analyzes the experience of assessing the quality of art education in the school system of the Republic of Lithuania, the content and quality of the organization of the learning process, incl. in the areas of art and culture. The article deals with conceptual attitudes in the field of art and culture education in Lithuanian institutions. The conditions for the implementation of art education programs, the choice of priorities for the implementation of art education programs are analyzed, the state policy for the implementation of culture and education programs is considered. The article interprets the results of a sociological study of assessing the quality of art education lessons, planning lessons and the educational program at school, the consistency of means, goals and methods of teaching. Based on the analysis conducted, the article concludes about the active development of non-formal education in the field of culture and art
